It's Valentine’s Day this month! I happen to love Valentine’s Day because it's all about something that is as positive and uplifting as it gets. It comes during the winter month that is mostly cold and dreary. It can be one of the months that can get us down, so it is the perfect pick-me-up! It is all about..........LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (I love that song by the way!)As we approach Valentine’s Day, my thoughts are drawn (as they always should be) towards my wife. I am an imperfect being, sometimes more so than at other times, but no matter what, she loves me anyway. I feel so blessed and so humbled by this. The love I have for her is unmatched and cannot be duplicated.
Our Savior commanded that we love one another as He has loved us. What a blessed command! To love each other is one thing, but to be commanded to love as He loves, is taking it to a whole new level. I know that as much as I love my wife and children, my Savior loves them more. What an awe-inspiring and mind-boggling concept!
Why isn't every day like Valentine’s Day? You have all the love you ever wanted, exuding from a Savior who gave His all just for you, even when you didn't deserve it. Now that's love! The good news is that it is unending, which is a far cry different than the Valentine’s Day that we celebrate on February 14th. His love goes on, and on and on, with a constant flow into your heart and life. You just have to invite Him in, let Him stay and set up camp inside your soul. It's really easy…. you just have to ask. His love has been there all along, now it's your time to accept it, and make EVERY day a Happy Valentine’s Day.
